Micro-mesh PTFE gaskets suitable for low bolt load conditions

GYLON® 3545 is a highly compressible micro-mesh PTFE with a hard PTFE core for improved handling. GYLON® 3545 compressible layer can adapt to uneven surfaces, making it suitable for flanges with low compressive forces, such as glass lined flanges and equipment.

* For flat flanges, the minimum compressive stress on the gasket contact surface is recommended to be 1,500 psi when applied to liquids with a pressure of 150 psig. Consult the flange manufacturer to confirm that sufficient compressive stress can be achieved.
† When sealing uneven flanges, the gasket thickness must be four times the maximum gap between flanges.
